The Wisdom of the Grandmothers

Check it out: The Wisdom of the Grandmothers

Together we will create a global circle for prayer, healing, wisdom, and blessings to help us navigate the times ahead, connect with our souls, open our hearts, and awaken a deeper connection with the Earth.
“The most important Journey we will ever take is the 18 inches from our mind to our heart.”
~ Grandmother Agnes Baker Pilgrim

Do you know, deep inside, that you are to be part of a great turning on planet earth and that indigenous wisdom is a key part of that turning?

If so, you will want to join us for an unprecedented virtual circle that connects you in a powerful way with some of our world’s wisest elders. The 13 Indigenous Grandmothers are at the heart of a healing that is bridging ancient and modern worlds and weaving the human family together again. And now you can receive their wisdom from your home, in a way that feeds your soul, while also empowering our shared work of collective healing.

The larger Shift that is underway requires accessing ancient wisdom, powerful prayer lineages, and healing practices to help us address the crises of our modern world – so we can bring greater harmony and sustainability to our communities, to our people, and to our planet.

The International Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers offers a remarkable chorus of insight, stories, and guidance. They are the fulfillment of many, many prophecies and a remarkable example for our world. Together, they have created a worldwide alliance that shares a common vision. As they travel the world together, the 13 Grandmothers have become a source of great inspiration and healing, reminding us of deep spiritual truths and calling our attention to what is most important.

You now have the opportunity to participate in an unprecedented online course with the International Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers: a 6-week journey that shares The Teachings of our Ancestors to Light Our Way Forward.

Over the course of six weeks, you will be immersed in the ancient wisdom that the 13 Grandmothers bring at this critical time. They will share their visions, dreams, sacred rituals and ceremony and give you keys for the most pivotal role you can play in healing Mother Earth, including all her inhabitants, children and the next seven generations to come.

The Grandmothers are here to help us usher in a new era that calls for unity, reconciliation and compassion. Their engaged activism on pressing social and environmental concerns as well as their ancestral connection with the Earth will help guide our way.

Through this powerful initiatory circle with the International Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers, you will learn to:

Dearest allies,

In 2004, I prayed for a vision for my highest service to be offered in the years ahead. What I received was something I could not have imagined: Spirit told me that I would be entrusted to bring together some of “her most precious jewels” into a single basket.

Those jewels are the 13 Indigenous Grandmothers – a council of elders from cultures around the world that came together with great beauty and remarkable synchronicities. Through connecting with these elders, I discovered that this Council had been the subject of many ancient prophecies, all of which agree that they are to play a prominent role in global healing at this time.

For the last years, we have traveled to each others’ homelands for collective rituals that are committed to healing work, as well as to visit with leaders such as the Dalai Lama. And everywhere we have gone, profound, magical, amazing transformations have happened.

I have become clear that this circle is divinely guided, that the lineages they offer are a key for collective transformation, and that they are giving us a profound medicine for our times. That’s why I have committed my entire life to advancing their work.

When we did our first virtual Grandmothers solstice call with The Shift Network, 20,000 people responded from around the world – a remarkable outpouring of love, prayer and blessing. And it became clear that it’s vital to make more of their wisdom available to people who cannot travel to a live circle and who want to go deeper than a book or DVD. That’s why all the Grandmothers are excited by this virtual course, which offers them a way to share their wisdom, support our collective work, and together all contribute to collective healing and growth.

I cannot promise you exactly what you will learn or what they will teach. So often, their guidance is immediate, spontaneous, and in the moment. So the “curriculum” will be looser than you might expect for a virtual course. But what I’ve seen is that the spontaneous healings that come from entering into a space of reverence and prayer together are life-changing and well worth it.

I thus invite you join us in this virtual circle where we will share wisdom and deepen our journey together. Mother Earth is crying out for healing and together we can create some powerful openings for a renewed world.

I hope you can join us!
Jyoti,
Ambassador of The 13 Indigenous Grandmothers

Course Sessions on Thursdays 5-6:30pm PST or 6-7:30 pm PST

Week 1 ~ Prophecies Revealed: The Mission of the Council – edit

Feb 10th, 6:00pm Pacific

Featured: Ambassador Jyoti
Grandmother Rita Blumenstein, Yup’ik, Alaskan Tundra

“Humanity has now arrived at the Original Ground. It is imperative that we wake up from this nightmare, claim the choice, and take responsibility to rebalance our world.”
~ Jyoti, Ambassador to the Grandmothers Council, Spiritual Director of the Center for Sacred Studies

“The universe does not belong to you, you belong to the Universe.”
~ Yup’ik Grandmother Rita Pitka Blumenstein

“After the Chaos of this time, there will be peace.”
~ Rita Pitka Blumenstein

The International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmother was set in motion by common visions and prophecies seeded decades ago in many people around the world. Some of those visions were held by members of the Center for Sacred Studies (CSS) who convened the Grandmothers in 2004. Some of the prophecies were held for generations by the Grandmothers’ peoples.

In this opening session, Jyoti, CSS Spiritual Director and visionary joins Yup’ik Grandmother Rita Pitka Blumenstein in sharing the prophetic spiritual messages that gave birth to this global movement and share what is at the core of their work. You’ll learn how these elders see our current times and how we can answer the larger call for us to transform our relationship with each other and the earth.

Week 2 ~ Awakening: Visions, Dreams and Messages from the Spirits – edit

Feb 17th, 6:00pm Pacific

Featured: Grandmother Flordemayo, Mayan
Aama Bombo, Tamang, Nepal

“Everyone lightens. Each one of us is moving and vibrating as we become one as the light beings we are. All of us have been called. All of us feel the change and know the urgency of becoming One.”
~ Flordemayo

“I converse with the wind. Everything is air. I call the wind as God. They sit with us and they sit on my tongue and they speak through me.”
~ Grandmother Aama Bombo, Nepal

Part of the magic of the Grandmothers comes from their ability to follow guidance from the spirit world. In this session, you’ll hear not only their deepest guidance, but how they have learned to access, awaken, and follow that guidance and apply to their lives. This act of surrendering to a larger Spirit is central for the spiritual path and for being able to receive true wisdom for our lives.

Week 3 ~ Reciprocity: Reviving Traditional Ceremony – edit

Feb 24th, 5:00pm Pacific

Featured: Agnes Pilgrim, Takelma Siletz, Oregon
Rita Long Visitor Holy Dance, Oglala Lakota, South Dakota

“I started the Blessing of the Salmon Ceremony in ’94 on the Applegate River. I wanted to restore our ritualistic way so people would understand, be respectful and be careful of what they’re doing to the earth.”
~ Agnes Baker Pilgrim

“The Sundance is very sacred to our Oglala Lakota peoples. As you support the ceremony in a respectful way, something good will come to you and your people as well.”
~ Rita Long Visitor Holy Dance

The Grandmothers come from lines of prayer and ceremony that restore and renew our relationship to Creation and to one another. This session will focus on truly living ceremony as a powerful way to heal relationships, create bonds of mutual trust, and access great energies that are not available by ourselves. From ceremony, we learn about the importance of mutuality and reciprocity.

Week 4 ~ Relationships: Walking in the Path of our Ancestors – edit

Mar 3rd, 5:00pm Pacific

Featured: Grandmother Beatrice Long Visitor Holy Dance, Oglala Lakota, South Dakota
Grandmother Margaret Behan, Cheyenne- Arapaho, Montana
Grandmother Julieta Casimiro, Mazatec, Huautla de Jimenez

“Our people know that the land and the language are one. If we lose one or the other we are no longer who we say we are.”
~ Grandmother Beatrice Long Visitor Holy Dance

“The work I do is good. I always invoke God and the earth, the rivers and mountains- and of course the angels and saints- with songs and prayers in my maternal language, Mazatec.”
~ Grandmother Julieta Casimiro

The Grandmothers follow in the footsteps of their ancestors, and bring that wisdom to share with all of us. Indigenous traditions revere ancestors and you’ll understand from this session how to create a deeper relationship with your physical and cultural lineages. This gives a sense of place, of rooting, and grounding, as well as cultivates a state of deeper gratitude for life itself.

Week 5 ~ Responsibility: Sowing Seeds of Peace in Our Communities & Water as a Human Right – edit

Mar 10th, 5:00pm Pacific

Featured: Mona Polacca, Hopi, Havasupai, Tewa, Arizona
Maria Alice Campos Freire, Brazilian Amazon

“My elders said, ‘Know where your water comes from. Know your fire. Know where you are going to find your food.’”
~ Grandmother Mona Polacca

“I am collecting confirmation of prophecies that I have heard since I was a child from old people in my country. This prophecy about the Brazilian land– that we would be a land to join all cultures, all faiths, all religions peoples of the world to be in to peace. And this we are seeing in our country.”
~ Grandmother Maria Alice Campos Freire

One of the key teachings of The Grandmothers is to take responsibility for peace in our communities and peace in our hearts. Part of this is developing a deeper relationship with the natural elements around us. By entering into this reverential relationship, we begin to know water, for instance, as the source and the mother of life. Water has ears. Listen as the Grandmothers share about their relation to this primary element. Learn to connect more profoundly with the water inside of you and around you, which leads to a real shift in how you move through life.

Week 6 ~ Respect: Cultivating Compassion – edit

Mar 17th, 5:00pm Pacific

Featured: Tsering Dolma Gyaltong, Tibetan
Clara Shinobu Iura, Brazilan Amazon

“Every morning I get up and I pray for all sentient beings…humans, animals, even birds– they all need happiness.”
~ Grandmother Tsering Dolma Gyaltong

“True healing comes from forgiveness of oneself and others. The most difficult task is to forgive yourself. At the moment you do, you enter into a state of peace.”
~ Clara Shinobu Iura

Compassion is one of the greatest spiritual gifts that we can nurture in ourselves. In this session, two of the Grandmothers will share with you how you can access the deep forgiveness and compassion that guides them, and learn how you can bring these tremendous healing powers into your own life.
