You Could Spend $10,000+ To Have

a Website Built Using WordPress

Yes, $10,000. That’s the average fee for having a website custom-built in WordPress. Of course you can get estimates all over the board…from several hundred to tens of thousands of dollars…but $10,000 is the average fee for a professional, custom-built WordPress site.

That’s a lot of money – and it doesn’t even guarantee your site will work the way you want. For example, I’ve been hired to come in and fix a semi-functioning WordPress site, where the client had already paid someone else $15,000 to build it.

It’s nuts – WordPress is free and themes are cheap – so why would anyone pay that kind of money for a website? Great question. Here’s the answer.

WordPress is painful. Themes, plugins, security, e-commerce, digital downloads, videos, protecting content, collecting money, capturing emails, funneling traffic…it’s all too overwhelming. You get frustrated. You get stuck. And you need help.

But now you can get that help. And even better, it won’t cost you thousands of dollars.

Introducing…

The WordPress Masterclass

For Business

This course ends the pain, frustration (and oftentimes expense) of using WordPress for your business. It allows you…regardless of your skill level…to setup and run a profitable WordPress site that looks and works exactly how you want, in the shortest amount of time possible.

It cuts through all the marketing hype, simply telling you what to do and how to do it. Much (if not all) you hear about anything WordPress is purely marketing driven…”just install this and your problems will be solved”. But it never works like that (and usually just creates more problems). So instead, I provide you with an honest look at the challenges you’ll run into and then show you how to quickly navigate around them…regardless of your experience.

What does this mean for you? No more scouring the web for answers. No more waiting days for tech support to respond to your pleas.  And no more having to give up in frustration. This training will give you the answers you need, for anything you want to do and all in one place.

But how can a single course about WordPress do all of this?  It’s because…

It’s Actually

5 Courses In 1

Once upon a time, WordPress was a simple blogging platform. Write some words, click publish and…well, that’s all it could do.  But these days, it can provide everything you need to run a business.

And from years of daily experience, I know that businesses get stuck in 5 major WordPress areas:

  • Configuration, best practices and security (foundation)
  • Traffic generating and conversion focused content (blogging)
  • Selling and management of physical products, services and events (e-commerce)
  • Selling and management of on-demand media like videos, webinars and e-books (digital products)
  • Website look, functionality and lead/customer aquisition (design)

So I’ve broken The WordPress Masterclass For Business into 5 unique courses or “labs” that address each of these pain points, in-depth. That means for each of these topics, I’ll walk you through everything you need to know, do and use to turn headaches into profits.  Here now is a closer look at what I cover in the training:

The WordPress Foundation Lab

Maybe you’re new to WordPress and wonder how you should start. Or maybe you’re experienced with WordPress but aren’t sure if your website is actually setup correctly.  In either instance (or similar ones) this is the section of the training where you’ll learn build your Worpress site with a rock-solid foundation.

But building a solid WordPress foundation isn’t about doing a few major things correctly. It’s about doing many, many, many minor things correctly. Which is exactly why so many people get tripped up in this area…it just seems like so much.

But I’ll make sense of it all for you…and in short order…giving you the answers to things like:

  • Is your web hosting “good enough” for WordPress. Probably not…and I’ll show you how to tell, plus what to do about it.
  • Is your site using SSL? As of October 2017, Google says it need to be. WordPress can be tricky with SSL, but I’ll guide you through the confusing SSL maze and make it fast, simple and goof-proof for you.
  • Is your WordPress site hack-proof? Over 30% of all websites use WordPress and as such, it’s a favorite (and easy) target for hackers. But I’ll show you how to lock your WordPress site down so you’ll have no worries.
  • Plugins, plugins, plugins. These little guys can make your WordPress site do almost anything. But they can also slow your site to a crawl or even completely break it. So I’ll show you which plugins you need and which to avoid.
  • Are you sure your WordPress settings are right? Most people just go with the defaults. Bad idea. You’re running a business and your site needs specific settings. I’ll tell you what they are.
  • Caching, backups and speed boosters, oh my. These are “bandwagon” items that most people jump on because “everyone says to use them”. But these items can actually do more harm than good. So I’ll set you straight on what you need and what you don’t.
  • Does it matter? One-click WordPress installation vs. manual installation, pingbacks and trackbacks, multi-site vs. separate sites, subdomains vs. folders…and the list goes on of the things people never think about until they popup and cause frustration and uncertainty. So I’ll give you the straight answers on what to do with all of these surprise headaches too.
  • Plus everything else you need to know for setting up a rock-solid foundation for your WordPress site. All straight to the point and all specifically for business users of WordPress.

The WordPress Blogging Lab

“I wrote some posts but I’m not getting any traffic”. Or I’ve written 100 posts and I’m not getting any traffic. Or I have a new blog, so how many posts should I write?

These are just a few of the “blogging” questions I hear over and over again. So in this section of the training, I’m going to give you the straight facts on what to do and how to do it…for using a blog to generate traffic and authority for your business.

You’ll learn things like…

  • Video or text only for your blog? I’ll give you the answer (it can make a big difference)
  • What about podcasting, isn’t that blogging? Another area where people are hopelessly confused and marketers pump out misinformation. Save yourself a lot of time, money and headaches by just following what I teach about this.
  • Should you run ads on your blog? There’s only ONE type of ad you should ever place on your blog (and I’ll share with you what it is and why).
  • How do you get traffic to a new blog, when it’s so competitive out there? Using a blog for generating traffic or authority is what I call a “technical art”. And I’ll show you how to do the tech, how to do the art and how to combine both into reliable traffic.
  • How often should I be blogging? I’ll give you a specific formula that not only answers this question, but is paramount for the success of any blog.
  • What’s the best WordPress theme for my blog? And the answer is…(I’ll tell you inside the training)
  • Blogging SEO – optimizing your blog for Google. It’s not as simple as installing a plugin and clicking “Publish”. There’s a formula you need to use. I’ll share it with you and show you how to use it step by step.
  • Plus everything else you always wanted to know about blogging but were afraid to ask. Or never knew to ask. Or never thought about, period.

The WordPress E-Commerce Lab

Hey, I’ve got an idea. I’m going to run some Facebook ads…and from there, everyone will immediately buy my widget, or my service, or my coaching plan.

And then reality hits. Even if you get past the first step (getting traffic), you’re going to find that plugging all the moving pieces together for any type of e-commerce activity is a major pain in the butt using WordPress.

But have no fear, I’ll guide you through this often maddening process with step by step, do this and don’t do that instructions, covering things like:

  • What do I use to sell stuff from my WordPress site? You’ve probably already Googled it and came across WooCommerce. But is this the solution you should be using? I’ll tell you inside the training.
  • What should I use to accept payments? Sounds like a simple question right? But what happens behind the scenes in WordPress can be a can of worms when it comes to accepting payments. So I’ll guide you through everything you need to know and do, so you won’t have any of these headaches.
  • But I just want to sell ONE item on my website…and then you quickly discover that everything with Worpress and e-commerce is geared towards selling many items. Which is overkill for you. And confusing. But relax, I’ve got your back and will tell you exactly what to do.
  • I’ve got a bunch of products I want to sell on my site, what’s the best way to handle it all? Setting up WordPress to sell multiple products…the wrong way…will quickly spiral into one giant mess. But you can avoid that if you follow what I teach you in the training.
  • It would be cool if people could book appointments online with my business. Yes, it would. And I’ll show you exactly what to use and how to make it happen in WordPress.
  • The ONE item people always overlook when it comes to WordPress and e-commerce. And it will always come back to bite you in the butt…even halting your sales. I’ll tell you what it is and how to make sure it doesn’t happen to you.
  • Integrations, integrations, integrations. How to plug all that crazy e-commerce stuff together…like carts, payment processors, analytics, email and more.
  • Plus everything else WordPress e-commerce related. All step by step, easily understandable and easily do-able by anyone…regardless of your tech ability (or lack thereof).

The WordPress Digital Product Lab

Back in the day (2007) I was one of only a handful of people selling training videos online. These days, everyone is trying to do it…and it seems like everyone is an expert on how to do it.

Problem is, none of the “course experts” actually know how to setup WordPress to sell digital products (videos, audio and downloadable content). They pay someone else to do it for them. Someone like, um, me (a dirty little secret you’re not supposed to know).

So what you’ll learn in this section of the training is coming straight from the horses mouth. You’ll learn directly, from me, exactly how to use WordPress to sell any type of digital product, including:

  • What “course plugin” to use. I’ve tried and used them all. And there’s only one I recommend. I’ll tell you what it is and how to use it in the training.
  • Do I need an LMS (learning management system) theme? It’s a tricky question and I’ll give you the straight answers inside the course.
  • Do I need a “membership plugin” to sell digital products? Maybe and maybe not. I’ll tell you how to know, what to use and exactly how to use it.
  • How in the heck do I connect all the moving pieces? This is the one area that overwhelms people again and again…plugging together all of the different components needed to sell and deliver digital products. But I’ll demystify the process for you and make it seem (gasp) almost easy.
  • What about webinars and WordPress? This can be another integration nightmare, where you struggle to get different types of software to play nice together. But I’ve got you covered, showing you what to do and how to do it.
  • How do I keep people from stealing (or sharing) my stuff? There are loads of misinformation about this topic online, but I’m going to give it to you straight…revealing the best practices for securing your digital content in the real-world.
  • I’d like to deliver my digital products like Udemy, Kajabi, Teachable, Thinkific, Podia (and the list goes on) do – can I do that in Worpress? Yes. Just use and do what I tell you to do in the training. You’ll save yourself a boatload of money and headaches.
  • And everything else about digital products and WordPress. From downloads, to file hosting, to video players, to well…everything. I cover it all in this section of the training.

The WordPress Design Lab

Your website is ugly. Something about it just looks wrong. Or you bought a sexy theme that everyone raves about, but your pages don’t look anything close to sexy. Or you like the way your website looks, but you’re getting no leads or sales from it.

These are design problems. And for most people, it equals game over.  You don’t know how to fix any of it…not from a visual standpoint and certainly not from a technical (coding) standpoint.

This special section of the training will fix these problems for you. In it, I’m going to teach you how to quickly become a design Ninja…even if you have zero design talent, no artistic sense and no techie skills whatsoever. I realize that might sound hard to believe, but I’ll prove it to you…in fact, you’ll be surprised how easy I make it for you.

It’s probably my favorite section of the training because it gives you the most power. With what you’ll learn, you’ll be able to (easily) custom design your WordPress site to look exactly how you’d like. No cookie-cutter themes (with security leaks), no sketchy freelancers and no skills required.

Here’s a closer look at a few of the things I’ll be covering:

  • The best visual page builder on the planet. There are many visual page builders available for WordPress…and nearly all of them suck. But I’ll share with you a little-known gem of a page builder that will have you creating pro-quality pages in minutes. And even better, I’m going to show you how to use it, step by step.
  • How to (almost) magically guide visitors through a page. Getting visitors to go where you want and do what you want on a page is an art form. But I’ve turned this art form into a simple formula you can use to get the highest conversions for any page. A formula that I’ll show you how to use, step by step.
  • Mobile design made easy. These days, you don’t have one website, you have three. A version people see on desktops, one they see on tablets and one they see on smartphones. I’ll show you how to quickly ensure your website is pixel perfect on all three…with just a few clicks of your mouse.
  • What fonts to use and why. There are currently over 800 fonts you could use on your website. But there are only a handful that will help bring you more leads and sales. I’ll not only tell you what they are, but give you pro-level tips for using them.
  • How did they do that? You’re on someone else’s website, see something cool and want to do it on your website too. I’ll show you step by step how to duplicate elements you see on other websites, onto your own website.
  • I want my website to look like that. You see someone else’s website and want your website to look exactly like it. I’ll show you step by step how to duplicate websites and make them your own.
  • Do I need to learn how to code websites? Absolutely not. With what I teach, you’ll be able to make your WordPress websites look and function however you want, without ever having to know, learn or write a single line of code.
  • Plus my private war chest of design tricks and techniques. All the little nuggets of design gold that I’ve collected through the years…given to you…so you can start profiting from them too.
